Important summary: Your captured photos, project covers, project details, and saved stamps are stored primarily on your device. GPS Mark does not upload your captured photos to our server as part of its current functionality. The App does send limited device-registration information and a one-time location record to our server, and it uses Google services for advertising and push notifications.

1. Introduction

Raiyaan Infotech ("we", "us", or "our") provides the GPS Mark mobile application (the "App"). We respect your privacy and want you to understand what information the App processes, why it is needed, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of GPS Mark. By installing or using the App, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App or grant permissions you do not wish to provide.

2. What GPS Mark Does

The App allows you to:

  • capture photographs using your device camera;
  • display and burn location, address, coordinates, date, time, altitude, accuracy, and related stamp information onto photographs;
  • select and customize stamp templates;
  • save stamped photographs, and optionally original photographs, on your device;
  • organize photographs into projects and local folders;
  • view captured locations on maps;
  • mark photographs as favorites;
  • export photographs or project information as PDF files;
  • share photographs and exported files using apps you select; and
  • receive service and app notifications when notification permission is enabled.

3. Information We Process

3.1 Photos and photo metadata

The App processes photographs you capture, project cover images you select, and metadata associated with those files. Metadata may include capture date and time, file name, image dimensions, file size, image format, project assignment, favorite status, and the location-stamp data saved with a photograph.

This content is stored locally on your device under the App's private storage and/or GeoStamp folders in your device's photo or media storage. We do not receive the contents of your captured photographs through the current device-registration API.

3.2 Location and address information

When location permission is granted, the App processes your current precise or approximate location, depending on your device settings. This may include latitude, longitude, altitude, accuracy, street, locality, city, state, postal code, country, and country code. The App uses this information to create the live stamp, save location details with a photo, show captured locations on a map, and organize location information in project exports.

GPS Mark requests location while you are using the App. The current version does not request continuous background-location permission.

3.3 Project information you enter

Project names, project codes, client names, locations, descriptions, selected colours, cover images, and photo assignments are provided by you and stored locally on your device.

3.4 Settings and preferences

Camera settings, stamp choices, theme preferences, notification settings, permission-flow status, file-naming choices, and similar preferences are stored locally so the App can remember your selections.

3.5 Device-registration information sent to our server

The App registers an installation with our backend service at mobileapps.raiyaaninfotech.in. Depending on availability, the registration may contain:

  • an App-generated installation identifier;
  • a Firebase installation identifier and Firebase Cloud Messaging token;
  • device manufacturer, brand, model, device code, and processor architecture;
  • platform, operating-system version, and Android SDK version;
  • App version and build number;
  • screen resolution, language/locale, and time zone;
  • camera, location, photos/media, and notification permission status; and
  • notification availability status.

Like most internet services, our server or hosting provider may also receive basic request information such as IP address, request time, response status, and technical headers for security and reliability.

After location permission is granted, the App attempts to send one successful registration containing latitude, longitude, city, state, country, and country code. If the device is offline or the request fails, the App may retry when connectivity returns. Normal later launches do not intentionally keep sending current location after that first successful location registration.

3.6 Information processed by third-party SDKs

Third-party services integrated into the App may automatically process technical information such as IP address, advertising or installation identifiers, device information, App interactions, ad impressions, diagnostics, and approximate location inferred from IP address. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

4. App Permissions

Permission Why the App uses it
Camera Required to take photographs inside the App.
Precise or approximate location Used to generate location stamps, coordinates, addresses, altitude, accuracy, and captured-location maps. Once after permission is granted, one location record is also sent to our server as part of device registration (see Section 3.5).
Photos and media Used to save photographs to your gallery, read selected media where supported, and choose project cover images.
Notifications Optional. Used to display push and local notifications.
Internet and network state Used for device registration, push notifications, advertisements, address lookup, and online map tiles.
Vibration Used when vibration is selected for notifications.

You can manage permissions through the App's Permissions screen and your device settings. Turning off a required permission may prevent the related feature from working. If precise location is changed to approximate location, stamps may be less accurate.

5. How We Use Information

We process information to:

  • provide camera, stamping, gallery, project, map, export, and sharing features;
  • save and restore your local preferences and project organization;
  • register the App installation and maintain compatibility across devices and operating-system versions;
  • associate a device with a push-notification token and deliver notifications;
  • load and measure advertisements;
  • detect failures, protect the App and backend, and maintain service reliability;
  • respond to support, privacy, or legal requests; and
  • comply with applicable law and enforce our rights.

We do not use the contents of your locally stored photographs to build advertising profiles, and the current App does not provide automatic cloud backup or automatic photo upload to our server.

6. Detailed Location Disclosure

Location is a core part of GPS Mark. When you open the camera, the App may request fresh GPS information and update the stamp when your location changes. Coordinates may be converted into a human-readable address using the geocoding service available on your device. Map views request map tiles from OpenStreetMap infrastructure.

Location included in a saved photograph or PDF can be seen by anyone with access to that file. Before sharing a stamped photograph, review the stamp carefully and remove or change location fields if you do not want the recipient to know where the photograph was captured.

We do not sell your precise GPS location for money. As described above, one location record may be transmitted to our backend during the first successful registration after location access is granted.

7. Local Storage, Sharing, and Export

Captured images, project cover images, project records, and App settings are primarily stored on your device. Files saved to public GeoStamp folders may remain on the device even after the App is uninstalled, depending on your operating system and backup settings.

Sharing and PDF export happen only when you choose those actions. The App passes the selected file to the operating-system sharing interface. The receiving email, messaging, cloud-storage, social-media, or other app will process the file under its own privacy policy.

8. Advertising

GPS Mark displays banner, native, interstitial, and app-open advertisements supplied through Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, App interactions, ad impressions, clicks, diagnostics, and approximate location to deliver, limit, secure, and measure ads. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, consent choices, account settings, device settings, and Google's requirements.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, personalized or targeted advertising may be treated as "sharing," "targeted advertising," or a "sale" under certain privacy laws. You can manage advertising choices through your device's Google settings and, where required, through any consent choices presented by Google.

On Android, ads use the Android advertising ID, a resettable identifier provided by your device. You can reset your advertising ID, delete it, or opt out of ads personalization at any time in your device settings (usually under Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Settings > Google > Ads). Deleting the advertising ID does not remove ads, but they will not be personalized.

Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy and Google's information about advertising technologies.

9. Firebase Services, Analytics, and Crash Reporting

The App uses Firebase Installations and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to identify an App installation for messaging and deliver push notifications. This involves Firebase installation identifiers and an FCM registration token. Our backend stores the token and related device-registration data so notifications can be addressed to the installation.

You may disable notification permission in your device settings. Disabling visible notifications does not necessarily delete an existing installation identifier or token immediately. You can request deletion using the contact details below.

The App also uses Firebase Analytics to understand general App usage and feature interactions, and Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes and technical failures. These services may process installation identifiers, App version, device and operating-system information, screen or feature interactions, crash stack traces, performance and diagnostic information, and related technical metadata. We do not intentionally attach the contents of your captured photographs to Analytics or Crashlytics reports.

For more information, see Privacy and Security in Firebase.

10. Maps, Address Lookup, and External Services

The App uses device geocoding capabilities to convert coordinates into an address and uses OpenStreetMap map tiles for map previews and project location views. When online map or geocoding services are requested, the provider may receive your IP address, request details, and the coordinates needed to return the requested content.

OpenStreetMap data is available under its applicable terms. You can review the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.

11. When Information May Be Shared

Information may be disclosed in these limited situations:

  • Service providers: to our hosting provider, Google/Firebase, Google AdMob and advertising partners, geocoding providers, OpenStreetMap tile infrastructure, and other vendors that perform services for the App;
  • User-directed sharing: when you choose to share a photograph, PDF, or other file with another app or person;
  • Legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or enforceable government requests, or to protect users, our services, rights, property, or safety;
  • Business changes: as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of assets, subject to appropriate protections; and
  • With consent: when you clearly authorize another use or disclosure.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

12.1 Information stored on your device

You control local photos and project content. You may delete photos or projects using App controls and may also manage exported files through your device's gallery or file manager. Clearing App data or uninstalling the App normally removes private App records, but public gallery files and device or cloud backups may remain.

12.2 Backend registration information

We retain device-registration records, notification tokens, permission status, and the one-time registration location only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide notifications, operate and secure the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion by emailing raiyaan.infotech@gmail.com. We may need information that reasonably verifies the relevant installation or request.

12.3 Third-party retention

Google, advertising partners, mapping providers, and other processors retain information according to their own policies and legal obligations. We do not control copies created when you share a file with another person or service.

13. Data Security

The production backend uses HTTPS to protect information in transit. We also rely on operating-system storage protections and the security controls of our service providers. Nevertheless, no transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting your device, reviewing stamps before sharing, and controlling access to exported photos and PDFs. Avoid sharing location-stamped images when disclosure of the location could create a safety risk.

14. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • request access to personal information associated with your installation;
  • ask us to correct or delete information;
  • withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • opt out of targeted advertising or certain data sharing where applicable;
  • receive a portable copy of information where applicable; and
  • raise a complaint with an applicable privacy or data-protection authority.

Users in India may have rights available under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its applicable rules. Users in other regions may have rights under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or similar legislation. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.

To submit a request, contact raiyaan.infotech@gmail.com. We may ask for information necessary to locate the relevant installation and verify that the request is legitimate.

15. Children's Privacy

GPS Mark is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18, or under the minimum age required by applicable local law. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

16. International Data Processing

Our backend and third-party providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy laws in those countries may differ. Where required, we and our providers rely on appropriate legal and contractual safeguards for international processing.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our data practices, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows when the Policy was last revised. Material changes may also be communicated through the App, a store listing, our website, or another reasonable method.

18. Contact Us

Contact us if you have questions, complaints, or privacy requests relating to GPS Mark.
